Tankly collects nothing. There is no account, no server, no analytics, no ads and no tracking. Your tanks, tests and photos never leave your device.
Tankly is an aquarium water-test and maintenance tracker, made by Snapcoder. It is built to work without collecting any information about you.
Data we collect
None. Tankly has no account, no server, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. We do not collect, store or share any personal data.
Data stored on your device
Your tanks, water tests, tasks, water changes, livestock, journal notes and settings (units, language, test kit, reminder time) are saved only on your device. They are removed when you delete the app, or you can erase them at any time in Settings → Delete all data.
Camera and photos
The photo journal uses the camera or your photo library only when you choose to add a photo. Photos are copied into the app's storage on your device and are never uploaded. You can turn off access at any time in iOS Settings.
Widgets
Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets read a short summary of your tank (latest readings and next task) that the app shares with its widget on your device. It does not leave your device.
Notifications
Maintenance and re-test reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device. No notification data leaves your device.
Backups and exports
When you back up your data or export it as CSV, Tankly creates a file and opens the iOS share sheet. Where that file goes (Files, iCloud Drive, email or another app) is your choice and is covered by that service's policy. Restoring a backup reads only the file you pick.
Purchases
Tankly Pro (a lifetime purchase or a yearly subscription) is processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive your payment details. The app keeps only a flag on your device that Pro is unlocked. You manage or cancel the subscription in your App Store account settings.
Children
Tankly does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be published in the app and on this page with a new effective date.
