Montra stores the finances you type in so they sync across your devices. It never connects to your bank, shows no ads, and never sells your data. You can export or delete everything from inside the app.
Montra is a personal finance tracker made by Snapcoder. This policy explains what Montra collects, why, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
Account information. To sync your data, Montra requires an account through Firebase Authentication. We receive your email address and, if you sign in with Apple or Google, the name and profile photo they share. Passwords are handled by Firebase Authentication; Montra never sees or stores them.
Financial data you enter. Wallet names and balances, categories, transactions (amount, currency, date, note, tags), budgets, recurring transactions and savings goals. Every figure is one you typed in yourself — Montra never connects to your bank.
Receipt photos. If you attach a photo to a transaction, it is uploaded to Firebase Storage under your account.
Preferences. Base currency, language and calendar settings.
Diagnostics. If the app crashes, Firebase Crashlytics sends a report with the device model, OS version and where in the code the failure happened.
Usage analytics. Firebase Analytics records which screens are opened, in aggregate, to understand which features are used. It is not linked to your account and never includes your amounts, notes or balances.
How we use it
Only to run Montra: sync your data across your devices, show your reports, fix crashes and improve features. We do not sell your data, show ads, or share it with advertisers or data brokers.

Where your data is stored
Your data is stored on Google Cloud servers operated by Firebase, and cached on your device so Montra works offline. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest by Google Cloud. Your records are readable only by your own account.
Security on your device
You can lock Montra with a PIN or Face ID. The PIN is kept in the device's secure storage (Keychain on iOS, Keystore on Android). Backups you create can be encrypted.
Your choices
- Export: Settings lets you export your data to CSV or JSON, or create an encrypted backup, at any time.
- Delete your account: Settings → Profile → Delete account permanently deletes your account and your financial data. See how to delete your account.
- Delete just the app: uninstalling removes the copy on your device; your account stays until you delete it.
- Permissions: camera, photo library and Face ID are used only when you choose those features, and can be turned off in system settings.
Data retention
We keep your data for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, your account and financial data are removed from our servers as described on the delete-account page. Crash reports are kept by Firebase for up to 90 days.
Children
Montra is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, or to object to its processing. Most of this can be done in the app; for anything else, email us.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and its date, and show a notice in the app for significant changes.
