Cardify stores your account and flashcards so they sync across devices. The free plan shows ads from Google AdMob, and you choose whether they are personalized. Premium is billed by Apple or Google. You can delete your account from inside the app.
Cardify is a flashcard app made by Snapcoder. This policy explains what Cardify collects, why, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
Account information. When you sign up with email, Apple or Google through Firebase Authentication, we receive your email address and, for Apple or Google sign-in, the name and profile photo they share. Passwords are handled by Firebase Authentication; Cardify never sees or stores them.
Content you create. Flashcard sets, cards, folders, classes and any images you add to cards. Sets marked as public, and your display name and photo, can be seen by other Cardify users through search, shared links and classes you join.
Study activity. Review history, study sessions, progress, achievements and your daily goal, used to schedule reviews and show your progress.
Purchase records. If you subscribe to Cardify Premium, we keep a record of your subscription status and purchase attempts. Payment itself is handled by Apple or Google; we never receive your card details.
Advertising data. On the free plan, Google AdMob may collect your device's advertising identifier, IP address and ad interactions to show and measure ads. See Advertising below.
Usage analytics. Firebase Analytics records events such as screens opened, reviews completed and ads shown, to understand how the app is used.
On-device features
- Scan from photo: text recognition runs on your device (Apple Vision on iOS, Google ML Kit on Android). The photo is uploaded only if you add it to a card.
- Microphone and speech recognition: used only while you answer by voice. Recognition is provided by your device's speech service.
- Face ID / biometrics: handled entirely by your device; Cardify only receives success or failure.
- Notifications and widget: review reminders are scheduled on your device.
How we use it
To run Cardify: sync your cards, schedule reviews, provide Premium, show ads on the free plan, fix problems and improve features. We do not sell your personal data.
Advertising
The free plan shows banner and interstitial ads from Google AdMob. Before personalized ads are shown, Cardify asks for your consent through Google's consent form (and, on iPhone, Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt). If you decline, you will see non-personalized ads. You can change your choice in the app settings or in your device's privacy settings. Cardify Premium removes ads.

Where your data is stored
Your data is stored on Google Cloud servers operated by Firebase and cached on your device so you can study offline. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest by Google Cloud.
Your choices
- Delete your account: Profile → Account & Security → Delete Account. See how to delete your account.
- Ads: change your ad consent at any time, reset or limit your advertising ID in device settings, or subscribe to Premium for no ads.
- Subscription: manage or cancel in your Apple ID or Google Play settings. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription.
- Permissions: camera, photos, microphone, speech recognition, notifications and Face ID can be turned off in system settings.
Data retention
We keep your data for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, your profile, flashcard sets and sign-in are deleted. Any remaining study history and card images are deleted on request — email us. Analytics data is kept by Google for the period set in Firebase (up to 14 months).
Children
Cardify is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, or to object to its processing. Email us and we will respond within 30 days.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and its date, and show a notice in the app for significant changes.
